Barbados on cruise itinerary for Royal Caribbean’s Quantum of the Seas

quantum-routeOur beautiful island Barbados has been included on the Southern Caribbean cruise itinerary for Royal Caribbean’s newest ship – Quantum of the Seas!

The ship will have its inaugural voyage on November 23rd, 2014 and will offer a number of Caribbean cruises covering the Bahamas and the eastern and southern Caribbean.

In addition to a stop in Barbados, the 11-night Southern Caribbean route, which sets sail fromĀ from Cape Liberty, New Jersey, will feature calls at San Juan, St. Maarten, Martinique and St. Kitts.

The ship docks at Barbados’ capital city Bridgetown at 8:00am and leaves at 5:00pm for the return journey to New Jersey. While in Barbados you can enjoy duty-free shopping, exploring Bridgetown (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), a day at the beach, island tours, swimming with turtles, ziplining, a submarine tour, segway rides or partying with pirates!

The Quantum of the Seas will carry 4,180 passengers and feature a number of exciting activities including simulated skydiving, bumper cars, roller skating and a circus school with flying trapeze! There is even a glass capsule that ascends over 300 feet to give you panoramic views of the islands!
