Gear up for a week of epic swims in some of the island’s most stunning locations. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or a curious first-timer, dive into the excitement and get ready to conquer the crystal-clear waters of Barbados!

Mark your calendars, swimmers – the wait is over! The Barbados Open Water Festival 2024 has unveiled its action-packed schedule, and online registration is officially open.

Practice Swims: Nov. 6th, 7th & 8th 2024

The festival eases you in with three days of practice swims, the perfect opportunity to explore the island’s warm waters and get acclimated before the race days. It’s your chance to shake out any nerves, dial in your technique, and soak up the Caribbean vibes alongside fellow swimmers from around the world.

Wed Nov 6th at 4pm: Practice swim #1 in Carlisle Bay, swimming the same route as the competitive 1.5K Open Water Swim.

Thu Nov 7th at 4pm: Practice swim #2 at Batts Rock Beach, 2K Open Water Swim.

Fri Nov 8th at 4pm: Practice swim #3 at Miami Beach, 2K Open Water Swim.

Race Days: Nov. 8th & 9th 2024

The festivities culminate in a thrilling display of aquatic prowess, with distances to challenge every level. Things kick off with the invigorating 1.5K swim, followed by the more challenging 3.3K, 5K, and 10K races.

Sat Nov 8th: 1.5K competitive swim and 1.5K ‘Just for Fun’ swim in Carlisle Bay
Sun Nov 9th: 3.3K, 5K, 10K Swims in Carlisle Bay
