The supersonic Concorde first came to Barbados in 1977 for Queen Elizabeth’s return flight to England. Barbados later became the only vacation destination in this Hemisphere with a scheduled Concorde service.
When the Concorde fleet was retired Barbados became the proud home of one of these magnificent aircraft, of which only 20 were ever built; the Barbados Concorde Experience was opened as an interactive museum in 2007.
