Sandy Lane Barbados has won the prestigious Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Award for the 4th year in a row. It is also the only hotel in Barbados to receive this honour. Sandy Lane, one of the “World’s Most Luxurious Hotels” has also received The Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Award and the British Airways Holidays Customer Excellence Award with a ranking of 9.5 out of 10.
General Manager of Sandy Lane, Randall Wilkie, says that these awards come on the heels of one of the best years for the resort. “2018 was a great year for this luxury West Coast resort.”
Wilkie added that Sandy Lane will continue its initiatives in the US to increase new business to Sandy Lane. “We have seen an impressive return on ad spend with over US $1.3 million in revenue generated from our 2018 digital advertising campaigns alone. Our newsletters and email campaigns also attributed to our revenues for the year 2018. We received over US $7.6 million in revenue from these communications,” he advised.
The success of the resort is also attributed to top personnel training and development, leading to world-class standards in attention and guest satisfaction. Moving forward, the focus on training will continue with a “focus on management development implemented within each department”, said Wilkie. In 2019, Sandy Lane will introduce a Forbes Online Interactive Training Platform.
