Barbados has ranked #15 of 177 countries and territories in the 2013 Corruption Perceptions Index.
Barbados achieved a score of 75, the highest for any Caribbean country. Denmark and New Zealand were the top countries worldwide with a score of 91.
Barbados was ranked second in the Americas region, between Canada at #1 with a score of 81 and USA at #3 with a score of 73.
The ranking reaffirms Barbados’ position as an excellent place to live and do business.
The Corruption Perceptions Index ranking are based on how corrupt the public sector is perceived to be in each country or territory. It draws on corruption-related data collected by a variety of reputable institutions and reflects the views of observers from around the world, including experts living and working in the countries and territories evaluated.
