Folkestone Marine Park is home to an incredible artificial reef, created by the sunken ship Stavronikita. The ship lies about 120 feet underwater, just under half a mile from the shore. Because of its depth, diving the Stavronikita is best suited for experienced divers, and itās always a good idea to explore with a local scuba diving operator. Itās a fascinating spot, but safety comes first! Your guide can also introduce you to other wrecks found along this coast.
If snorkeling is your thing, youāll love exploring the inshore reef in the parkās Recreational Zone. Itās about a third of a mile from the shore and teeming with vibrant marine life - colorful fish, sea anemones, corals, sponges, and even sea lilies. Itās a underwater wonderland just waiting for you to dive in and discover!

Folkestone Museum
A major feature of the Folkestone Museum is a visitor interpretation center where you'll learn about Barbadosā rich marine life and ecosystems. The museum features an aquarium with many interesting and rare marine species, including coral and sponges.

Children love the well-maintained playground, with swings, slides and climbing frames. The tennis courts and basketball court also provide great recreation for locals and visitors.
