Barbados Hotels and Resorts by Location
Location, location, location! We've organized this list of Barbados resorts and hotels based on distance from the international airport and the capital city of Bridgetown. Also included is the area where the hotel is located. You can also restrict the list to just certain areas: the tranquil west coast tends to have more exclusive properties but there are affordable places as well. The more lively south coast offers great 3 and 4 star properties close to clubs, restaurants and beaches. The rugged east coast is perfect for remote getways while the north has lovely beaches that are less crowded.

The east for something completely different
Barbados has few very distinct locations... Bathsheba, St. Joseph is one. The hotels in this area are especially different. They are rootsy and appeal to artists and people who love nature, a rugged landscape and a raging sea. These hotels are distinctively charming in a real sense.
West for luxury
The west coast of Barbados is the home of Sandy Lane hotel and some of the most elegantly charming hotels you will find anywhere.
But there are also less expensive properties which are also distinctly charming, as well as budget accommodation.
Holetown is small hopping community that is alive with restaurants and nightlife. Stay here to be within
easy walking distance of great dining, clubs, lovely beaches and lots of amenities.
Head south for fun
On the southern coast we have a good range of accommodation including the largest hotel on the island (Hilton), full service resorts and smaller family-run hotels.
The ambience on the south coast is very mixed and some say more upbeat than the west coast. It's perhaps more inclusive and open. There are west and south coast types but in the end they all meet and enjoy the charms of Barbados wherever they are.
St. Lawrence Gap is the spot for the party lovers. It's a horse-shoe shaped road that runs along the coast and is packed with restaurants, nightclubs and hotels.
The Silver Sands area offers more remote accommodation in an amazing setting. Here the winds and waves
attract windsurfers and kitesurfers from across the globe.
Getway up north
There are few hotels in the northern part of the island, however there are some outstanding
beaches on the north-west coast where these hotels are mainly located.
The historic town of Speightstown offers great restaurants, art galleries and museum for those
staying in the north.
