There's nothing quite like relaxing in the warm Barbados sunshine with an ice cold beer in your hand. And the beer of choice in Barbados is our very own brew - Banks Beer!

The brewery opened in Barbados in 1961 and over the years has won numerous awards for its beers and ales. The naturally filtered Barbados water and a distinct yeast are 2 key ingredients that produce the characteristic taste of this pilsner-style lager.

While international beers and brews from across the Caribbean are readily available in Barbados, once you've had your first taste of Banks Beer you'll understand why it's the #1 choice on the island.

Take a tour of the brewery and get your favourite Banks Beer merchandise at the Banks Breweries Visitor Center, located at Newton, Christ Church.

Tour Times: Monday - Friday, 10:00am, 12:00pm and 2:00pm.
Shop Open: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.

Cost: US$13 for Adults; US$11 for children aged 12-18 (No children under the age of 12 years old.)
Additional US$15 for transportation if needed.

The tour takes 30-45 minutes and entails: history of Banks Brewery, a short video of the full process in which the beer is made. The viewing of the brewing process, the stages in which the beer goes through before being bottled and the bottling process. Each person is allowed to have two free Banks beverages after the tour.
