the United Kingdom.
BARTEL currently has a customer base of over 65,000 businesses
and private users and the Barbados telephone network is
equal to that of any developed country. BARTEL has begun
plans to install over 300km of cable in a new three ring
fibre system which will form the backbone of Barbados' telecommunications
infrastructure.
BET is part of a digitalised global network of cables and
satellites and is a member of the International Telecommunications
Satellite Organisation (INTELSAT).
