Barbados Reggae Festival

History

Debuting in 2005 on Farley Hill National Park, the Barbados Reggae Festival steadily grew into a main spectacle each year. Showcasing live performances from the hottest names of reggae from the local, regional and international arena, this festival has made its way onto the calendar of many Caribbean and foreign reggae enthusiasts.

Over the years, the Barbados Reggae Festival stages have been graced by many top reggae performers such as Sizzla, Luciano, Admiral Tibbett, Buju Banton, Anthony B and Capleton just to name a few.

Since its inception the festival has evolved into a 4 event festival as there are many sides to Reggae we could appreciate. Promoters Al Gilkes and Freddy Hill saw the need to add "Reggae on the Beach", "Vintage Reggae", Bajan Reggae Night" along with "Reggae On The Hill" to complete the festival package.
