Acknowledgment
This story was first typed by Jan Rose-Dixon. Jan was born in Barbados
and educated at Codrington High School in the parish of St.John, before
leaving to live in Britain. She returned to the land of her birth as often
as she could.
Jan died at the age of 57 in Cobham, Surrey, in the Summer of 1998 after a long battle with cancer.
The BTE and Betty jointly dedicate this story
in honour of Jan,
"a precious person". Her loving kindness made a lasting impression
on all those whose lives she touched.
