Recently unveiled commemorative plaques mark:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f4f7f9\"><strong>Carnegie Building<\/strong> \u2013 home of the <a href=\"https:\/\/barbados.org\/barbados-libraries.htm\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/barbados.org\/barbados-libraries.htm\">National Library Service<\/a><br><br><strong>Madina Masjid<\/strong> \u2013 City Mosque<br><br><strong>St. Mary&#8217;s Anglican Church<\/strong><br><br><strong>The Cathedral of St. Michael and All Angels<\/strong><br><br><strong>James Street Methodist Church<\/strong> \u2013 site of the home of National Hero, <a href=\"https:\/\/barbados.org\/people\/heroes.htm#gill\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/barbados.org\/people\/heroes.htm#gill\">the Right Excellent Sarah Ann Gill<\/a><br><br><strong>Tyrol Cot<\/strong> \u2013 former residence of National Hero, <a href=\"https:\/\/barbados.org\/sir_grantley_adams_statue.htm\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/barbados.org\/sir_grantley_adams_statue.htm\">the Right Excellent Sir Grantley Adams<\/a><br><br><strong>The Landship Dock<\/strong> \u2013 headquarters of the uniquely Barbadian cultural movement, <a href=\"https:\/\/barbados.org\/blog\/barbados-landship-steers-into-unescos-intangible-heritage\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/barbados.org\/barbados-traditions.htm#landship\">the Landship<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many of these sites are located in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/barbados.org\/btown.htm\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/barbados.org\/btown.htm\">Bridgetown<\/a><\/strong>, which is already celebrated as a <strong>UNESCO World Heritage Site<\/strong>.
