A local hotel owner, one of our clients, popped into the office to check out the latest design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She loved it overall\u2026 but had one very specific gripe: <em><strong>\u201cWhy do you web designers always use palm trees? It\u2019s such a clich\u00e9!\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I laughed, then motioned toward the window &#8211; <em>\u201cYou mean like\u2026 those?\u201d<\/em> There were half a dozen palms swaying just outside, practically within arm\u2019s reach. <strong>She remained unconvinced.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/barbados.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/barbados-palms-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Palms trees everywhere in Barbados!\" class=\"wp-image-7929\" srcset=\"https:\/\/barbados.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/barbados-palms-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/barbados.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/barbados-palms-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/barbados.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/barbados-palms-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/barbados.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/barbados-palms.jpg 1500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Fast forward about twenty minutes. My phone rings. It\u2019s her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She\u2019s laughing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Turns out, on her drive back to the hotel, she started really <em>seeing<\/em> the island again &#8211; with fresh eyes. <strong>Palm trees everywhere &#x1f440;!<\/strong> Lining the roads. Guarding the beaches.
