During the week it&#8217;s much quieter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What to do at River Bay<\/strong><br \/>\nNo trip to River Bay is complete without a short stroll to the top of the cliffs to see the mighty waves of the Atlantic Ocean pounding the shoreline. It&#8217;s not all that unusual to spot a whale or two out to sea!<\/p>\n<p>To the southern end of the bay a natural freshwater stream runs onto the beach, hence the name River Bay. Kids enjoy splashing in these waters and exploring the stream inland.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Facilities<\/strong><br \/>\nFacilities at River Bay include picnic benches and washroom facilities.\u00a0Be sure to bring your lunch with you as there are no restaurants at River Bay.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Getting here<\/strong><br \/>\nA hired car is a great way to get to River Bay.
