Dear Peter, Ammie and I arrived safely back in the UK this morning. I just wanted to drop you a further note to thank you so much for the hospitality we received from yourself, Buddy and Bo-bo. Your place is fantastic and i shall definitely recommend it to people coming out to Barbados who want to avoid the standard beach hotel type stay in favour of doing your own thing at your own pace - it was ideal for both of us, great location, lovely little bathing spot just near Il Tempio (unfortunately we ended up running out of time yesterday with souvenir hunting, so couldn't have that one last dip at Fitts Village!). Good luck with the development of Villa Marie and the new land etc., and good luck with getting Buddy to walk on a lead, his facial expression at being forced to wear a lead was priceless! CANADA 05-04-2007 Amy and Stephanie Wowee! We just returned from an incredible week in Barbados and the Villa Marie was a home away from home! Peter greeted us at the gate the minute we arrived and we felt welcome from that very minute. Boo boo and Buddy (their dogs) were an added bonus! Everything on the island was great, but everything at the villa was INCREDIBLE....right down to Pauline the housekeeper and Peter's arranging tours, boat excursions, etc. We threw away our guidebook on the first day because Peter could do so much better! We definitely want to return and will definitely recommend it to our family and friends. The Fitts Village beach is right down the hill (which is totally beautifully and more secluded than Sandy Lane!!!)and all the buses stop there as well to Holetown and Bridgetown... We completely recommend it!!! What can we say? Our stay was perfect and my wife and I enjoyed every single one of our nine days in Barbados. Peter is a gracious host and always very helpful. Pauline was great to chat with and her smile was always a nice welcome in the morning. Of course we can't forget Boubou and Buddy, our canine guardians. Villa Marie is our home in Barbados. We had the most fantastic holiday staying at Villa Marie in November 2005 (meant to write a review on our return from that holiday, but never got round to it). We couldn't recommend this extremely laid-back guesthouse and a stay in Fitz Village more highly if you want a relaxing holiday and the freedom to discover the beautiful Bajan beaches, towns and countryside at your leisure. 06-10-2006 Tracy & Steve Once again we had a fantastic home-from-home stay at Villa Marie. We have been coming back once, sometimes twice year since 2000 and we will definitely be back again next year if not before. We can't wait to see how much BooBoo's new trainee, Buddy, will have grown by the next time we come - he may even have grown into his huge paws by then!! We miss you both but you know we'll be back *smile* England 15-08-2006 Rohan & Michelle We are now back in the UK after a fantastic 2 weeks in Barbados and Villa Marie. Our stay there cannot be matched by any previous holiday we've had, this was because of the fantastic host Peter and wife Lucine, who made our stay there not only comfortable but enjoyable too. Villa Marie has a very cosy, home from home and safe atmosphere, which is contributed to by beautiful BooBoo(the dog). Definately a place to stay and re-visit....Better than a boring all inclusive.
