I have just returned from a two week visit to villa marie with 22 divers and their families. The villa is absolutely perfect for large groups. We had seven cars and there was still space on the drive. If we needed something Peter had the solution. He will organise trips and give local friendly advice. Pauline the maid was very helpfull and made sure the rooms were kept clean and washing done when requested. I would definately recommend anyone staying on the west coast of Barbados to stay at villa marie. I cant wait until we return in August. Thanks Pete and Pauline. Great location, quiet but within easy reach of great beaches & at night-time Holetown was ideal for us as a family with somthing for everyone! The location of Villa Marie in Fitts Village is ideal; it is ten minutes from Holetown and right across the street from a quiet and beautiful beach (good snorkeling there too!). Bridgetown and the Gap are not too far and they are all easily accessible by the government and the yellow (party) buses! The rooms at Villa Marie are spacious and very clean (Pauline, you're wonderful!). Peter is a great host as well. As mentioned in the other notes, he arranges anything and everything you need and want. This is a great option if you're looking for a personal and relaxing stay in Barbados. Enjoy! New York City 23-07-2007 Andrew We just returned from a 8 night stay at the Villa Marie and we miss it already! The property was beautiful and the rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. Also, the location along the west coast was convenient in accessing beaches, restaurants, as well as shopping and nightlife. Saint Lucia 16-05-2007 Beverly Hayward I just recently returned from a 7nt stay at the Villa Marie. I was travelling alone and felt perfectly safe at all times. It's pretty much centrally located - nothing was more than 15-20mins away by bus. The rooms are very spacious and tastefully furnished. As for Peter; he's the greatest host ever! he arranges all your excursions and goes out of his way to make sure you're having a good time. And then there's BoBo the friendly guard dog who always runs to greet you. If you're just looking for somewhere to truly relax than this is the place. I just wanted to drop you a further note to thank you so much for the hospitality we received from yourself, Buddy and Bo-bo. Your place is fantastic and i shall definitely recommend it to people coming out to Barbados who want to avoid the standard beach hotel type stay in favour of doing your own thing at your own pace - it was ideal for both of us, great location, lovely little bathing spot just near Il Tempio (unfortunately we ended up running out of time yesterday with souvenir hunting, so couldn't have that one last dip at Fitts Village!). Good luck with the development of Villa Marie and the new land etc., and good luck with getting Buddy to walk on a lead, his facial expression at being forced to wear a lead was priceless!
