tree grows in warm climates and is an attractive tropical ornamental tube-like
plant. The blossoms are long tentacle-like, brownish red in colour, with soft
leathery umbrella-shaped leaves.
The blossoms of this tree are said to be laden with honey.... "a perfect menu for our Barbadian birds and bees!"
